What is the average life expectancy of a patient with chemotherapy for ovarian cancer?
the patient is in his late forty years, in good health and in stage III ovarian cancer that had metastasized to other organs, which had made the surgery and the ovaries and uterus were removed during surgery is now undergoing chemotherapy with paclitaxel (intravenous) with rings spaced every 3 weeks
I regret that someone who knows through what is happening now. The fact that it has not metastasized, obviously gives you a better chance for a normal life and long term. Each person reacts differently to chemotherapy. Fortunately, she will do well with this drug. Nobody, not even a doctor can not say with certainty what the outcome or predict life expectancy. Not this time, anyway. I wish you all the best. And remember that modern medicine has a long way.
